The home page progress bar says 3.8 is in beta as opposed to the beta-1 status assigned to 2.8. What is the difference and is the 3.8 beta posted somewhere for downloading?

    Qaiser,

3.8 is not released as a beta yet. We’re waiting for Eclipse 3.0M9 to be released later today. At that point well then be able to merge our changes onto our 3.0 stream, build, test, and release an M9-compatible version of the 3.8 beta. It should be out in about a week, so call it the end of the month just to be safe. 🙂

Hi there! Right now I am doing my very first steps with JSF and am using MyEclipse 3.8 beta1.

Am I right that the JSF template wizard is not included in beta1? I mean this thing:

By the way: will beta2 support JSF 1.1?

    thanx!

I ask, because JSF 1.0 is full of bugs and JSF 1.1 actually is a bugfix release—although the version number doesn’t look like it.

    Marcus,

We’re transitioning to 1.1 ASAP so that should be in Beta 2.

Unfortunatly, JSF 1.1 have bugs, too
JSF is now open on java.net and you can get source code and cvs

In source on java.net is resolved commandLink bug (veru ugly bug)

Except this, there is myfaces implementation and myfaces is currently better JSF impl. than standard JSF

    regards
