    Yes, you are right: it is about the “insert Finally to complete the TryStatement” error (check the original post, because I usually try to keep my messages on the same topic ;-]).

    thanks in advance for any new ideas/hints about this problem,

    Alex I checked on this bug in the issue tracker and there hasn’t been an evaluation of it yet, I’ll try and keep you posted when there is.

    Thanks. I am wondering if I can do something in this direction as a temporary workaround: https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/what-is-validation-jsp-directive-validator/.

    It looks like this problem wasn’t fixed in 5.0.1. Do you have any updates in the issue list?

    Not yet, unfortunately the entire company is working on unanounced work that takes precedence over everything right now. So as far as bug fixes go, we are on hold for another week. Then amangement will plan 5.0.2+ and probably draft out 5.1.

    I know that’s not the most exciting answer, but the work getting done is important.

    No, it is not, but at least I know I shouldn’t expect to have JSP validation working till 5.1. And in this case I really may be considering switching back to 5.0M2, which is the last one I remember with this required feature working.

    I have also just come across this bug. I have a jspf included using the include directive, and am getting
    <pre>
    -Syntax error, insert “Finally” to complete TryStatement
    -Syntax error on token “}”, { expected
    <pre>

    I’m using version 5.0.1 GA.

    I am pushing to have this targetted for 5.0.2
