While I was testing it, I noticed this problem. Anchors were displayed blue even though I had styles defined for them. Other programs (MS EW, Adobe Dreamweaver, and all browsers render them correctly).

I’ve concluded my trial of this software. Unfortunately, it’s much less helpful in developing web apps than MS EW and, especially, Dreamweaver. I was looking for something better, but it looks like those two are the best, for the time being.

    roman2,

I am not sure I understand the issue at hand. Are you trying to do web designing using ME? Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details. Are you on x32 or x64 bit? How did you install ME? Meaning – using all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic? How did you define styles? And what is the browser you are using to display anchor tag? Are you talking about design view or the actual rendering of anchor tag in a web-browser? Can you elaborate more? Since I don’t have visibility of your current system, can you please include some screenshots which will help me get a visual.

    Thank you.

Yes, I was trying to do web design using ME. Hence, my posting in the Web Development section of your forum.

I can’t copy and paste my installation details as I’ve uninstalled the product having observed that doesn’t fit my requirements. However, I can answer your questions.

I am on 32 bit Windows 7. I installed ME using your all-in-one-installer. Eclipse was not present then.

I defined styles using CSS, of course. I used an external CSS file for that.

Which browser I use is irrelevant (I use all of the major ones). I was talking about the deficiency in ME’s HTML designer (AKA WYSIWYG panel/design view). That’s why I wrote that 8.5 M2 ignored CSS styles for anchors.

I don’t know how I can elaborate anymore. If you have done any web design, you should know that anchors, as all HTML elements, can be styled by using CSS. 8.5 M2 ignores the styles I’ve defined for the anchors in my project. The reason I mentioned other programs (web development tools and browsers) is to let you know that I used CSS correctly and that it is your product that has a problem, not my code.

Again, no screenshots are possible now as I have removed your product from my computer. But if you do what I described, you will probably be able to see what I reported.

This has been my feedback intended to help you make your product better.
