I’m getting the same problem.
1) I cannot enter a URL or at least it is not visible.
2) When I enter a URL and press go… it says even a valid url is malformed
For example if I enter http://www.ibm.com it tells me there is no protocol given
and if I enter http://www.ibm.com it tells me it’s a malformed URL.
3) OH BTW, there are times when if I shut down Eclipse and then restart it, I can see the URL I enter

What’s going on HERE!!!!! I’m trying to start to learn AJAX development and am having nothing but problems.

I too am having the same problem…

I am getting an error dialog when trying to open the <http://www.dzone.com/&gt; URL in the AJAX Web Browser. The error dialog says “URI is malformed. Please re-enter valid URL.”

This issue was caused by an incompatability on Mac OS X but has been corrected in MyEclipse 8.5. Please upgrade to restore this functionality.
