Due to fundamental changes introduced in Angular 4, Webclipse / Angular IDE 2017 CI 3 will not work with Angular 4 projects. We recommend you continue to use the 1.0.0-rc.4 CLI to create your projects, which will ensure Angular 2 projects are created. Using 1.0.0 will create an Angular 4 project which cannot currently be consumed by Webclipse or Angular IDE.
Our Angular 4 support is ready and is going through final QA over the next few days. The next releases of Webclipse and Angular IDE will include Angular 4 support, while retaining support for Angular 2.
We appreciate your patience, the upcoming releases have some cool new Angular capabilities which will make them well worth the wait.
