after installing darkest dark theme, Spring tool suite hangs very frequently. (especially when i am refactoring class name).

even though theme is too good, performance is too bad.

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. The problem you are reporting is not the normal behavior with Darkest Dark.

Can you please send us the 3-4 thread dumps when the STS freezes to help us investigate further?
Also send us the workspace log located at workspace dir/.metadata/.log.

Here is Eclipse page on how to get thread dump: https://wiki.eclipse.org/How_to_report_a_deadlock . Preferably use jstack [pid] > thread_dump.txt. Please let me know if you have trouble getting the thread dump.

After uninstalling Darkest Dark 🙂 , application works well.

Hey @pradeepcs, We used to have an issue with STS combined with Eclipse’s themed scrollbars. The performance issue also happened with eclipse’s regular Dark theme. But we placed a fix in our latest release (CI6a). Could you confirm you were using our latest version of Darkest Dark?

It would be really helpful if you provided more information about the failure since we cannot replicate the issue ourselves in STS.
