Bradley M. HandyMemberWhen using MyEclipseIDE 4.0M2 and Eclipse 3.1, if I close all active editor windows and then use the “Open Type” functionality to open a source file, the source file does not open properly. The tab opens with the filename as the title, but there is no content just a blank gray area.

Riyad KallaMemberI don’t see MyEclipse anywhere in this stack trace, are you sure this works with non-MyEclipse files? Have you tried this with a .txt file or a .java file?

I apologize. I had run this yesterday by disabling MyEclipse and restarting Eclipse. It had worked. I then enabled MyEclipse and restarted Eclipse. The problem came back. I did find it weird none of the classes in the stack trace were MyEclipse related. :/ I’ll open up a bug with Eclipse.
Scott AndersonParticipantBefore doing that, can you restart eclipse with -clean (eclipse.exe -clean) and see if that resolves the issue?

Scott AndersonParticipantWhat is the build id of your Eclipse installation?
Truthfully, given that this is an “all Eclipse” stack, the install just looks fundamentally broken in some way.
What I’d personally do is download a fresh copy of Eclipse 3.1 final and install MyEclipse 4.0M3 (just released) with it to correct the problem.
kiloMemberit is a fresh copy of Eclipse 3.1 final and MyEclipse 4.0M3,but doesn’t work …..
Scott AndersonParticipantKilo,
I tried closing all editors and using Open Type to reproduce but could not. Are you trying to open a Java type that is part of one of your workspace projects? Or, is it part of some library jar? Is it a particular file, or all of them? Can you create a new workspace and try the same thing in it? Does it work in the new workspace?
