bsmithMemberI am having a similar problem working with version 2.17.4
I’ve input the URL, username and password on the Bugzilla Server Preference screen, but when I hit the update button on the Bugzilla Search page it gives me a login/password incorrect error. After this didn’t work, I tried removing the username and password as Greg suggested. However without the username and password the Bugzilla Search screen will not load. Once I click the “Bugzilla Search” tab in the search window, I am immediately prompted with:
“Could not login to Bugzilla server using current Username/Password. Would you like to re-enter your login information and try again?”
If I select Yes from the prompt, I am given the exact same prompt almost immediately (ie, I am not able to re-enter my login information). If I select No from the prompt, the Bugzilla Search screen loads with nothing on it (completely blank, no textboxes, nothing at all).
My account has the following permission on bugzilla:
canconfirm Can confirm a bug.
editbugs Can edit all aspects of any bug.
Project1 Project1
Project1MOD Project1 modify
Project1RO Project1 Read OnlyThe bugzilla server is setup such you must have an account to query for bugs, but if I enter my username/password this shouldn’t be an issue should it?
Thanks for the help.

Riyad KallaMemberBen,
We focused our development against the latest stable (2.16) and future stable (2.18) branches, so I will ask our BZ dev to go back and bang against 2.17 and see if its a quick fix we can rollup for people having problems.
coemergenceMemberThanks Ben, I’d appreciate that. Having a Bugzilla interface that works in Eclipse the way yours does helps me out alot.
I’ll be looking forward to seeing what comes of this.
GregMemberHere is the 3.8.3 bugzilla client capatibility list with bugzilla servers:
2.16.X — 5/5
2.17.X – 0/5, not currently supported.
2.18rc3 – 3/5, not fully supported. You can login, search, and add bugs, but you can’t edit or update bugs.So for 3.8.3, the only bugzilla servers we fully officially support is the 2.16 series. As for all other versions, we will investigate support for them in future releases.
coemergenceMemberHi Support,
With the release of v3.8.4, is there any update to what is supported now? Any enhancements for the 2.18 version of Bugzilla? Our Bugzilla has been “upgraded” from 2.17 to 2.18. Any idea when we will be able to edit/update defects for this version of Bugzilla (v2.18)?

Riyad KallaMemberJohn,
3.8.4 didn’t include any enhancements to the BZ plugin. I don’t know that any are planned for 3.9 either, not because we are done with the plugin, far from it, but just because high priority items that we have held off long enough (visual designers, etc.) NEED to get into 3.9, then we can swing back and polish up the BZ plugin along with some others after that. -
