Nope. Most definitely no other copies of WTP installed. Checked the plugins folder and all folders in Software Updates->Manage Configuration. The ONLY plugins I use are MyEclipse and Subclipse.

I didn’t realise my build of eclipse 3.1 was out of date, I’ll update that and get back to you. Seems unlikely that this would be the cause though doesn’t it?

As odd as it sounds, I’ve seen incremental builds make the difference between “totally broken” and “works fine”.

Yep, very latest build of MyEclipse and Eclipse have fixed the problem.
