aliant_mwalkerMemberI installed MyEclipse 4.1 on a VMWare based instance running Windows XP Profession 5.1 Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 SP2.
This machine was configured for 512MB RAM. It had insufficient install space. The installation failed (Out of Memory error) but it appeared to install the software. (The Start->programs folder is present but there is no link).
We upgraded the instance to 1.5 GB RAM and 80GB additional hard drive space. When I run the MyEclipse Uninstall program I keep getting out of memory errors. I cannot wipe the instance.
If I rerun the install program it also always fails with an out of memory error.
Any ideas what I can do to
a. Safely uninstall what is there
b. Get MyEclipse to install correctly.the JVM I am required to use for this installation is: JSDK 1.4.2_10
Eclipse which runs correctly is version 3.1*** Date: Wed Aug 30 14:46:41 ADT 2006

❗
Riyad KallaMemberMark,
The installer is a simpler installer, it doesn’t do anything fancy. SO the easiest way to get rid of MyEclipse is to start Eclipse, go to Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration, find the MyEclipse extension fi it’s listed, right click on it, select Disable and when asked to restart, click No.Now close Eclipse and go erase the MyEclipse directory, that’s it.
