Scott AndersonParticipantSun,
The problem is caused by installing a trial version of MyEclipse under one user account and then running under another user account on Linux. While this is OK for a licensed version, the trial requires that the same user both install and use MyEclipse to avoid this problem. You’ll either need to run as the user you’ve used to install MyEclipse, or reinstall as the user you’d like to run under.
java_user_hereMemberHi,
We are using a licensed version and what I did was I changed the configuration details while starting eclipse from this eclipse -data c:\myeclipse-eval-data -configuration c:\myeclipe-eval-config -clean
to eclipse -data c:\myeclipse-eval-data1 -configuration c:\myeclipe-eval-config1 -clean
Now when eclipse gets loaded with c:\myeclipse-eval-data1 -configuration c:\myeclipe-eval-config1 parameters and clicking on any appserver it was throwing the error.
But when i start eclipse with eclipse – data c:\myeclipse-eval-data -configuration c:\myeclipe-eval-config, I dont see any errors thrown. What could be the reason for this?????Regards,
Sun
Scott AndersonParticipantYou need to enter your subscription information into the new workspace before accessing any other MyEclipse features. Please see Window > Preferences > MyEclipse Subscription
java_user_hereMemberScott,

Riyad KallaMembererickf,
This looks like an installation problem. Please download our 5.1.1 All In One installer from the website, run it, and be sure to install it to a new directory, then reopen your existing workspace and continue working.

This is a known issue on Vista, are you using vista? If so, edit the shortcut you use to start MyEclipse, and be sure to set it to run in Administrative mode (or with administrator rights, I forget the exactly wording), it should work then.
