    Running:
    Eclipse 3.2.2

    Version: 5.1.1 GA
    Build id: 20070302-5.1.1-GA

I need to install Spring IDE 2.0. Is there a way i can disable MyEclipse’s Spring support so i can use Spring IDE 2.0 instead.

    Russ,
Is there a feature you needed in Spring IDE that isn’t in MyEclipse yet?

If you need to turn off MyEclipse’s SPring support, you can go to Window > Prefs > General > Capabilities, hit Advanced, and go under MyEclipse Standard and uncheck the “Spring Framework Support” and hit OK.

Alternatively, one of our developers says you should be able to install SpringIDE 2.0 even without turning off the existing functionality in MyEclipse… although I’m concerned with menu-collisions or duplicate entries which is why I’m suggesting you do it.

    Your call.

I would like to use spring IDE 2 to get spring web flow support and the bunch of new features in spring ide 2.0. Can I replace your Spring IDE version with version 2 or should I disable your support and add Spring IDE to my eclipse config ?

In the future do you plan to integrate full Spring ide in my eclipse or continue to cut functionalities in your integration ?

    thanks

Full Spring IDE 2 support will be coming in the 6.1 release. For the time being you are welcome to disable our Spring support and add your own, but keep in mind any Spring-integration work (like Hibernate/Spring) that you want to use from MYEclipse will not work.
