After experimenting with creating an EAR, and pointing that EAR project to an existing web module, I deleted the EAR project with the intention of starting over. I explicitly said do NOT remove the associated web module. The web project now shows up in the Package Explorer with a red x though, and I can’t see why. None of the associated files in the project have the “x”: only the project icon.

Eclipse 3.1.1; the latest MyEclipse 4.1; and jdk 1.5_06

    bradm,
Try right clicking on the project, go to MyEclipse > Remove All Error markers, if that doesn’t work, try Project > Clean and see if the error is cleared up.

Thanks: Remove All Error Markers did it.
