    Guys:

We are evaluating MyEclipse for work here and are very interested in getting the IDE to work with our current code build. We are using Workbench 4.1.1, Eclipse 3.2, JDK 1.5.

When I double click on the xml file to bring the file up in the xml editor I get the below error.

When I do the same type of action for the JSP Designer, I get the same error.

Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: "org.eclipse.jface".

Any help would be greatly appreciated…..
    😀

MyEclipse isn’t supported on Eclipse 3.2 yet, but we should be releasing a MyEclipse 5.0 Milestone 1 shortly after EclipseCon whcih is going on this week, but I wouldn’t suggest that as an evaluation as it will be a major work in progress (but you are welcome to try it).

Please use Eclipse 3.1.2 with MyEclipse 4.1.1 for the most stable experience.

Okay I’ve verified I am using the latestest build for the workbench and I am using the Eclipse version 3.1.2.

I am getting the below errors with the struts project. Am I going to have to create a new web project, add the struts capability and “dumb” my code in this new project so it works with MyEclipse?

    Russ,
There are other reasons PaletteView might be barfing and I think I know what might be causing it. Check your <eclipse dir>\plugins directory and look for any *gef* and or *emf* directories, if you have a separate install of EMF and GEF it will conflict with the versions that MyEclipse ships and would cause our designers to die in this fashion. You will need to remove the separate copies you had installed and restart the workbench to let MyEclipse to load up it’s copies.
