OK — one last followup — looks like this attached plugin, if dropped into your install, should get you up and going again. This will allow you to switch to use Eclipse’s HTML editor.

All is really good now! Dropped in the new JAR provided into the plugins and started Eclipse clean; and it remembers the settings for the preferred default editor for xhtml file types. I have included a screen shot of the file associations for *.xhtml so that you can see the other editor contributors available with the CodeMix extensions that are installed.
