    Hello there!

I use Eclipse 3.2 on OS X Tiger and WinXP.

Have paid and installed the MyEclipse 5.1.0 GA plug-in on both platforms…

Am getting an auto update request to install the Eclipse 3.2.1 patch.

The Eclipse 3.2.1 patch contains improvements for:

    1. Java Development Tool 3.2.1 performance patch

    2. Eclipse RCP 3.2.1

    3. Eclipse 3.2.1

When I checked on it to download and install this particular patch it stated that it detected conflicts with:

    Java EMF Model:

    version 1.2.1.v20060815_M —> Local MyEclipse5.1 directory
    version 1.2.2.v20061027_M —> Local Eclipse 3.2 directory

How can I update this patch without having it conflict with my installed MyEclipse plug-in?

When I browsed MyEclipse’s web site, it stated that it had an All-In-One installer that would let me upgrade to Eclipse 3.2.1 and the newest version of MyEclipse, but it didn’t have one for OS X.

    Many, many thanks!

This is a known bug with the 3.2.1 patch. It broke me (onlinux). There is a fix in the 3.2.2 patchset (not available last I checked)

    drbugs,
    Thanks for the heads up.

Also Unnssee, MyEclipse 5.1.0 is built ontop of Eclipse 3.2.1 so our All-In-One installer actually already includes that. If you are installing on other platforms, you should be using Eclipse 3.2.1 as the base for MyEclipse 5.1.0. I’m not aware of the details of the conflict though so I don’t know what would happen if you forced the update. Maybe check the bug notes from drbugs’s post.
