Hi,
We are using MyEclipse 7.1 and I have dropped JBoss Tools plugins/features folders into dropins folder.
While I can see some of the options enabled, I was specifically looking for ESB. I can only see ESB File option when I navigated thru File –> New –> Other and open ESB choice.
If I do this exercise with Eclipse Ganymede then I can also see ESB Project option apart from ESB File.
What am I missing here? If it works with Eclipse Ganymede, it should work with MyEclipse as well right?
This has become a critical issue for me and if I can not figure out how to make it work with MyEclipse then I may have to drop our subscriptions and go with JBoss Developer Studio Professional version as being able to develop an ESB project is important to us.
Thanks for any support on this issue.

support-joyMemberVenkat,
I have replied to your eSupport ticket.
Victor M. Ojeda V.ParticipantHi,
I have the same problem. Could you be kind enough to share your solution? Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Victor
support-joyMemberVictor,
Let me clarify that MyEclipse doesn’t provide an integrated support for jboss tools. I have tried to research on the net for a site providing download options for jboss tools. I have come across – http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-1.html(download link redirects to http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=jboss&filename=JBossTools-ALL-win32-3.0.0.GA-R200903141626-H5.zip&use_mirror=biznetnetworks, please clarify if this is the download site).
An interesting point to note is that these tools are based on either Eclipse 3.3.2, 3.4.2, 3.5.0, whereas ME 7.1.1 is based on Eclipse 3.4.1.
I can suggest you to download ME 6.6 and try to download jboss tools for Eclipse 3.3.2 and check if you are able to work on ESB Project. MyEclipse7.5 is coming soon, this is based on Eclipse 3.4.2
Victor M. Ojeda V.ParticipantJoy,
yes. That’s the download site. I can install some plugins but when I try to intall others, like Eclipse Modelling Framework (needed by some plugins) the following error appear:
Cannot complete the install because some dependencies are not satisfiableCannot find a solution where both Match[[com.genuitec.pulse2.client.targetcfg.feature.group 2.4.2.200905042000,
com.genuitec.pulse2.client.targetcfg.dropins.feature.group 2.4.2.200905042000] required Capability: and so on …I will wait for the next version then.
Best regards,
Victor
support-joyMemberVictor,
As I mentioned before – jboss tools support is not provided by MyEclipse. But you can add plugins. Now have you verified the release notes for Eclipse Modelling Framework regarding the base eclipse version it provides support to?
What is your MyEclipse current version? Can you copy and paste your installation details here? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Folder > Installation Detail.
Note that the release notes for jboss tools displays that it supports only few versions. It doesn’t mention support for Eclipse 3.4.1 and MyEclipse 7.1.1 is based on Eclipse 3.4.1.
From your above message, it looks like a compatibility issue with that of base eclipse. I would recommend you to verify the release notes for the base eclipse support and cross post the same in jboss tools forums.
Hi, I was wondering if there was any better support for JBoss tools in MyEclipse since this discussion?
support-swapnaModeratordan.tillin,
I have escalated this to the dev team. They will get back to you at the earliest.
Thank you for your patience.
Brian FernandesModeratorDan,
We’ve changed our integration for JBoss a few times in the past few years. Can you let us know specifically what features you need in MyEclipse so we can better support your needs?
