I was able to use the Database Explorer perspective for several weeks and all of a sudden it stops working. I got an initial error popup saying that it couldnt load several packages and now, I never get that popup so I cant paste it here. I have reinstalled MyEclipse again, rebooted my machine and still no luck. Please help.

Try a new workspace, File > Switch Workspace > C:\tempworkspace and hit OK to restart. If the DB explorer works now, you can try and select your old workspace, then shut down MyEclipse and try using the -clean command line argument as outlined here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/FAQ+index-myfaq-yes-id_cat-30.html#343

I followed your instructions and I get the DB explorer to work on a temp workspace. I followed the instructions for the old workspace and started it up with a -clean command. The db explorer still does not work for the old workspace. I am able to select the db explorer perspective but it doesnt display the db explorer, etc. Please help.
Jade something has gotten corrupted in the old workspace, you will need to export your settings from the old workspace (Window > Prefs > Export) and import them into the new workspace, and then import your projects one at a time. I don’t know what has happened but if a -clean didn’t fix it, then something is really wrong.
