nsouleMemberA few users at my company have seen that projects in their workspace that they deployed to a WebSphere server are no longer shown as deployed after they restart the IDE. The only way to get around it is to do another Add Deployment for the project (at which point they get the prompt asking if they wish to delete, replace, etc the existing deployed asset).
For the users that are seeing this they are seeing it consistently, and are seeing it with multuiple WebSphere profiles they’ve created to test with.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Loyal WaterMemberNate,
What version of MyEclipse is you team facing this issue with? Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the details here for me so that I can get this issue checked at my end as well.

nsouleMemberHi Nipun, we’re on 7.1.1. Below are the installation details from one of the installs that is experiencing this (it’s not all of our installs).
Thanks!

Loyal WaterMemberYou said only a few people see this and that too inconsistently. We have been testing Websphere servers for quite sometime now and never seen this. I always create multiple profiles for 6.1, 7.0 and 6.0 servers so just wondering what could be the issue here. Can you let us know if the users who experience this issue have any kind of additional config wrt to WAS or ME or other that the others don’t.
Also which WAS version is this.
nsouleMemberOnly a few people see this, but they do see it consistently. The particular user that we pulled the installation details from above is deploying to WAS 6.1 with no additional configuration (i.e. no EJB3 or WS feature packs). Their MyEclipse install is also generic (we’ve installed a handful of 3rd party plugins, but that’s all).
Let me know if I can provide any further information.
Thanks.

Loyal WaterMemberNate,
I have passed this information to the dev team. I’ll let you know if we need any more information from you.
GregMemberHey Nate,
Can you ask your team members if they had closed some projects, restarted and then opened those projects again? We have an issue with our server connectors where some deployments can be “forgotten” if you close the project, restart the IDE, and then reopen the project. Could this be the issue?
nsouleMemberHi Greg, I just verified that people are not actually closing any individual projects, but rather just closing the IDE. Let me know if I can provide any other info. Thanks for your help.
-Nate
