DevStyle requires restart of Eclipse Photon after every initial start!

    I use Eclipse Photon and have installed DevStyle so that I can use the dark theme. Since the latest update whenever I start Eclipse I receive a popup that says “Given how DevStyle intercepts certain components of this IDE, it is recommended to restart now.”

    If I restart everything is fine and I can continue to work. Cancelling the popup also does not seem to cause problems. I’m guessing that the appearance of this popup is a bug.

    There’s definitely a bug here – do you mind sharing your error log with us?

    You can find it at [workspace_location]/.metadata/.log

    Could you also let us know what your base Eclipse distribution is, and which additional plugins you have installed (if any)?

    I also encountered this problem, the version is Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a)

    We have what we believe is a fix for this problem. Unfortunately, we’re unable to verify this internally because we are unable to reproduce the problem at our end.

    We have put out the fix on our pre-release stream, and would be very grateful if you could try it immediately, and let us know if it fixes the prompt, and if your chosen theme continues to be functional.
