No the SNAPs are only available with the All-In-One installer at this time. Part of the install process is to generate some of the configuration files that the SNAPs need to run, so they are tied to the installer at this time.
Any plans to allow separate installation of these SNAPs without the All-In-One installer?
I have eclipse installed in a separate directory, already customized with my favorite/necessary plugins. Now, having installed the All-In-One, I have to go back and re-install all of the plugins again.
Hmm… I don’t think there are plans for the immediate future (6.0) to de-couple the SNAPs from MyEclipse only because they run off of the shared MyEclipse code base as “mini applications”… but that’s not to say we couldn’t or wouldn’t break them apart if users wanted it bad enough… have individual or “pack” installs for SNAPs is a pretty cool idea…
