NagendraMemberHi Team,
We are facing an issue when we run the Server inside MyEclipse. Classpath entry is not including Profile information properly. In AdminConsole we set the Classpath to “C:\vignette\localconfig\wcm” . But the same classpath is displaying when we run the Server from startMenu -> IBM Webshpere -> 7.0 -> Profiles -> AppSrv01.
Below is the Server startUp Env Info. Could you please let me know the differnecnce and also How to resolve the issue.

support-swapnaModeratorNagendra,
Can you answer some more questions for us ?
1. Can you share the installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details ? Paste them here.
2. In the MyEclipse IDE, if you want to add information to the Classpath, you will have to go to the Websphere connector page and make changes to the Advanced Classpath configuration section.
Edit the server connector (From the Server’s tab, right click on the Websphere > Configure Server Connector), click Next till you see the Advanced Classpath configuration page. You can add the information to “Append to classpath” section. This should fix the issue you are seeing.
Attached is the screenshot for the same.
Let us know how it works for you.

com.genuitec.eclipse.blue.websphere7_8.6.1.me201011161536 -> Plug-In AND
com.genuitec.eclipse.blue.websphere7_8.5.0.me201003250241 -> Plug-In in C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Common\plugins this folder. But I am having only one Plug-In
com.genuitec.eclipse.blue.websphere7_8.5.0.me201003250241. Because of this he is able to see Classpath whatwhever he had set in the profile.Could you please let me know how to ADD Plug-Ins. So that I can add this Plug-In com.genuitec.eclipse.blue.websphere7_8.6.1.me201011161536. This is the Plug-In for Websphere 7 Connector.
attaching screen shot of plug-in.

The screenshot is missing from your reply.
Can you clarify if you have tried to set the value as I suggested in my previous reply ?
Your colleague must be working with MyEclipse Blue 8.6.1version. You can update to it from the Configuration Center. Switch to MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software > Software Updates Available. Check for 8.6.1 version, apply the changes and follow the wizard. Restart the IDE when it prompts to.
Let us know how it works for you.

Hi Swapna,
Yes I have tried as per your previous suggesstion. Its working fine. Thanks.
Coming to plug-in, My colleague also installed the same version(i.e 8.5) but only difference is He installed after one month gap. I think for this reason he got new patches or plug-ins.
And I tried your steps like MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software > Software Updates. Here I am not able to see Websphere server Connector 8.6.
Can I directly copy paste Plug-In(com.genuitec.eclipse.blue.websphere7_8.6.1.me201011161536) into my plug-in folder. Will that work or is there other to do that.
Please let me know your comments.
Thanks,
Nagendra
support-swapnaModeratorNagendra,
I am afraid you cannot update just the server connector. When you switch to the MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software > Software Updates Available, do you see the MyEclipse Blue Edition 8.6.1 in the list ?
If yes , please select it, apply the changes, follow the wizard and restart the IDE when it prompts to.
I recommend you install MyEclipse 10.1 our latest version to take advantage of the newest features. You do not have to uninstall MyEclipse 8.6.1. You can install 10.1, along side 8.6.1 or a different location. The license you currently hold is valid for 10.1 version too as our licenses are time based and not version based.
You can download 10.1 from this link :
http://myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Recommend_Us&req=Download&version=MEBlueAlternatively you can use Pulse to download it. Here is the FAQ for the same. Select ‘Eclipse 3.7 – Indigo’ and MyEclipse Blue 10.1 and follow the FAQ : https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-how-to-install-myeclipse-from-pulse/
Let us know if you see any issues.

Hi Swapna,
Thank you very much for providing usefull info.
After refreshing “Software updates Available” tab only I am able to see 8.6.1 version and I have upgared to 8.6.1. Now Classpath is working without configuring in MyEclipse Server Connector.
and coming to MyEclipse 10 version, Where should I download this. Means Do I need to download at the same place where 8.6.1 version exists Or Do I need to use differnt location. And after downloading is it require to give same Lisence Key Or Can I use directly. Please explain me how can I use it.
Coming to my previous thread https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/configuring-myeclipse-blue-8-5-with-websphere-7-0-server/
in this version, I tried to deploy sample webApplication in Debug mode. Its working fine and when i do the changes in Eclipse its reflecting in the Server location. But When I deploy my Project and start the server in Debug mode, I am getting some exceptions. Its related to Spring beans intialization which configured in my application. I think 8.6.1 version not supporting for Spring application. I dont see any exceptions when I start the server in Run mode.
Thanks,
Nagendra

NagendraI have verfied the link you have provided for 10.1 version.
There leftside I am able to see “Eclipse for Spring” tab. Can I use this as we are using Springs in our project.
Here I can see “Download” and “Custom Installer” options. Which one can i use. Thanks,
Nagendra
support-swapnaModeratorNagendra,
MyEclipse for Spring is for advanced Spring support. Take a look at this link for a detailed insight into the features :
http://www.myeclipseide.com/me4s/Here is the feature list :
http://myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-1.htmlIf you want to work with MyEclipse for Spring, then you will need to pay the difference in the cost to get upgraded to the ME4S license.
Coming to MyEclipse 10.1 download, you can use either “Download” or “Custom Installer”. The Download button downloads the full product (about 1 GB). The Custom Installer downloads an on-line installer (15 MB), which downloads a customised portion of the full product.
Run the resulting download (you may need to set the properties on the downloaded file to mark it as executable, first), and follow any prompts, one of which may be to select the 32-bit or 64-bit install (this choice only occurs if your Ubuntu is the 64-bit version) – choose 32 bit for faster execution and the possibility of using the visual design editors (which isn’t always possible on Linux).
In 10.1, the license will be automatically picked up, but you also need to activate it. Once you installed 10.1, go to MyEclipse > Subscription Information and activate it.
Let us know if you see any issues.
NagendraMemberHi Swapna,
I have downloaded and activated with existing license key. Thanks for the info.
After that I have created new profile using “Adavenced Profile Creation” option and same I configured into MyEclipse 10.1. When I start the server inside eclipse I am getting below exception. But when I run the server outside of MyEclpse its working fine.[4/9/12 23:01:31:160 IST] 00000000 FfdcProvider I com.ibm.ws.ffdc.impl.FfdcProvider logIncident FFDC1003I: FFDC Incident emitted on C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere 7.0\AppServer\profiles\CHP_10\logs\ffdc\server1_46884688_12.04.09_23.01.31.14451845.txt null 1011

support-swapnaModeratorNagendra,
Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I created a new profile using the ‘Advanced Profile Creation’ wizard and I could not replicate the issue at my end.
The stack trace should probably mean that your PC’s hostname couldn’t be resolved. While creating the new profile, did you give in full name for your PC in the Host name or localhost ? You should give in full name for it. Ex: THIELSEN.xtltest.com
Please recheck and let us know how it works for you.
NagendraMemberSwapna,
By default it is taking correct host name (i.e LHX00CND130C6JP.ms.ds.uhc.com).
I am just refering this link http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-printview-t-12812-start-0.html. End of the page I see some suggestions like
————–
By default the MyEclipse connectors will pickup the *default* set of JARs for each application server. Some servers, when run in different modes, require addition JARs to be added to their classpaths.Given the exception above, it’s possible that you might need to go to the “Paths” sub-preference under the WebSphere 6.1 connector, and add the JAR from the WebSphere install dir that contains the com.ibm.ws packages.
——————–
So I am just appending jars to the classpath in the server connector window. Also please suggest from your end.
Thanks,
Nagendra
NagendraMemberI have tried adding these library paths in the server Connector window
—
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere 7.0\AppServer\plugins
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere 7.0\AppServer\lib
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere 7.0\AppServer\runtimes
————-Still I am facing the same exception.
Please suggest me on this.Thanks,
Nagendra
NagendraMemberI am not able to see Installation history. Getting below exception. Help -> About MyEclipse -> Installation Details -> Installation History.
———
An internal error occurred during: “Fetching Elements”.
java.lang.NullPointerException
—–
Is this means its not installed properly ?Thanks,
Nagendra
