    Hi –

I am working on migrating projects from RAD to Myeclipse blue. We use static Web Publishing server in our project for publishing static content. What is the equivalent of this in MyEclipse Blue.?

    Thanks

    Hi,

You can configure such a server in MyEclipse 2015 from here : New > Server > Basic > HTTP Server. Since you are migrating the project, all you need to do is configure the HTTP Server.

If you want to create a static web project then you should enable the WTP Extras (Window > Preferences > General > Capabilities > Advanced > MyEclipse Standard Tools > WTP Extras). Once enabled, you can create the project from : New > Other > Web > Static Web Project.

If you are looking for more support on this feature, please let us how you are performing static content publishing in RAD.

Do we have options to perform this in Myeclipse Blue 2014.? I am not able to see the option in 2014.

    Thanks,

    Hi

This is how I publish the static content in RAD.

    1. I import my Static project into my workspace.
    2. Create a Static Web Publishing Server in the workspace.
    a. The publishing server is under “Other” servers.
    b. Accept defaults and set the Publishing Directory to a folder on my local
    c. Add the Static project when asked to do so.

    Thanks,
    Rajee

    Raajee,

The support for HTTP Server is included from MyEclipse 2015.
Please download MyEclipse 2015 from here and install it to a different location. Apply the Blue license to enable Blue specific features. Configure the HTTP Server from here : New > Server > Basic > HTTP Server.
You should see the field ‘Publishing Directory’ which can be set to your local folder in the HTTP Server wizard.

Here is the screenshot for your reference :

I configured the HTTP Server by pointing the Publishing Directory to my local folder and accepted defaults for the rest of the wizard. I created a static web project, added a html file and I could publish it to the local folder.

If you are still seeing issues, please attach the screenshot to help us get a visual.

Let us know how it works for you.

    Raajee,

The new MyEclipse 2015 Continuous Integration Stream (CI) is in progress, and you can access exciting new features as they become available. While the CI builds are stable and tested, a few omissions and rough edges are expected.
