I think I’ve fixed this although I’m not sure what may be the root cause. I run the software on a Mac and I copied the default Application folder for myEclipse so that I could run more than one instance of the software – more than one workspace open at a time.
While troubleshooting I removed the copies and reinstalled the default version. Now I’m running using the default install it seems to have corrected the problem.
Maybe – just maybe it was trying to do something path/folder specific and my running the app from another location broke it.
For now I am ok with a single instance of myEclipse.
