I’m getting the following error when I run Eclipse or MyEclipse:
JVM terminated. Exit Code=2
… and Eclipse and MyEclipse do not run.
There have been previouse posts run it via the command prompt with arguments, but this has not worked for me.
Are you launching eclipse.exe directly? Or using the MyEclipse shortcut? does the splash come up or does it terminate even before that?

1) The error occured when I clicked on the eclipse or myeclipse shortcuts.
2) It did not reach splash in either situations.
3) I was able to launch eclipse.exe directly.HOWEVER – problem seems to be solved:
I was prompted to install the latest Java update this morning – which I did. And I also did launch eclipse.exe directly this morning, after reading your post (and after getting the java update). The bug seems to have been resolved. I can launch myEclipse via the shortcut and the correct workspace seems to be loaded up. I don’t know if this is because of the steps I took, or because of other factors (such as changes to Windows that may have been pushed out).Hope it stays that way.
