Is there a way to change the way dates are displayed in the forum, in order to make them appear in 24h format, and using whatever timezone I’d like to?

Sure, click the “My Account” link just under our title bar, and then click “Change your info” – at the bottom of that page, you will see an option allowing you to change your Timezone.
http://www.myeclipseide.com/user.php?op=edituser should get you to that page directly.

Be advised that if you haven’t moved to “summer” time, you will have to choose a timezone that is one hour behind your real timezone for the correct time to be reflected.
