Hi all,

I need some help on building my first application for Ios (Iphone,Ipad) on MobiOneStudio.

In the building windows it asks me for two files:
1 – Private key p12
2 – MobileProvision File.

I read that I need to register myself as Apple Developer that is 99$ each year.

My application is free , I don’t want to make money on it, only send it to specific people not the entire world. These people will be able to download my application from my site.

Now the question is: should I pay 99$ for only one application, furthermore a free application for a bunch of people?

Does Genuitec offer a service for this kind of testing purpose?

Hi,

You have three options to distribute your native apps out of App Store.

1) You are free to distribute your app among pre-registered set of devices (see provisioning profile) without uploading app to appstore, so called ad-hoc method.

2) Using the iOS Enterprise Program, which is like having your own private app store that’s allowed by iOS license but requires very special setup. This is really targeted at big companies. See https://developer.apple.com/programs/ios/enterprise/

3) Another case is to use non-official app stores. But note that users must jailbreak their device. We don’t support this, but you should be able to find many instructions how-to-do in the net.

The other thing you can do is distribute your app as a web app and your users save it in home screen and your app will look as a native app. Hope this helps.

You said it’s free.. How does it works?..

And first of all.. I need this mobileprovision file and Build ID to compile the application in MobiOne Studio.
Where I could find these files? Can you give me these files? I’ve *crs and *key file generated by Mobione Studio site.

I founded fake mobileprovision files, but they don’t works… MobiOne Studio put an X red icon when I try to use them…

Hi,

look. i dont mind helping you out. Build your app, send it to me and i’ll upload it through itunes for you ok? the only issue will be that it comes under my name as a developer unless there is a way to change it. I thought it picked it up through my dev account.

At the moment, its taking about 2 weeks to get approved through itunes. you need to follow the instructions carefully. any issues that ping back to me will get sent to you. They are very strict on image sizes. During the upload process, i may get error messages etc etc.

i will need to generate the mobileprovision in my dev account. i will then send it to you for you to build the app. then you can send the .ipa to me with information about the app and i will upload it for you.

Please provide some info to me-

application name
description
the categories you want it to be in. You can email me

as soon as you tell me the application name etc, i will create a certificate

Cool. I was hoping someone would step up and offer.

I always thought a publishing concept would be good, especially for people who only want to do one or two apps, or even more. I would rather spend time building apps, which is why I am focusing on webapps.

MobiOne can assist you in creating native iOS .ipa and Android .apk files. I have no idea how a jailbroken device will behave and we do not support technical issues that arise on such devices. Having said that, MobiOne can assist you. Hi,

Apple requires the $99/yr dev membership to distribute your iOS app through the itunes app store.
