vertelneyMemberI was typing too fast for my own good and hit some combination of keys in myeclipse perspective and now I can only type right to left!! What is the magic key combo to bring me back to left to right?
1000 thanks.

Try and restart MyEclipse, this should never happen as far as I know.
Yes, I am getting this too, way too often the last day or so. I restart and it still comes back. This was happening to me both at home and at the office 2-3 months back after installing myeclipse in both places. I believe that it is related to the problem that many people are/were having when backspacing in a jsp and receiving error messages and having to restart because everything done after that would not be saved. My problems went away for a couple of months (I didn’t reinstall or update anything), now they have come back with a vengeance the last couple of days (again, no updates or reinstalls). It’s a know problem. See here:

There is a workaround suggested there – which I am about to try – as well as option to install 4.01M1 if you have a compatible version of everything else installed and want to give it a try.
Riyad KallaMemberRichard,
Thank you for jogging my memory I don’t know how I missed the connection, you are infact correct the dredded “Backwards typing” issue certainly does seem to be what the user was originally talking about. We did include a fix in M1 for this that was causing the reconciler to be nulled out which is the cause of the backwards insertion of characters. I also appreciate you included the link for others if they run across this thread.
Brian KuhnMemberAre there specific user actions that cause the condition to occur? i.e. a certain key combination? If I need to I can retrain myself for the time being.
Scott AndersonParticipantWe’ve put in an additional fix in 4.0M2, but the workaround for prior releases is to ensure that the Properties view is open and fully visible before the file is opened. That will keep the bug from being aggravated.
