I’m trying to follow the quick-start guide for the DB explorer at:

    http://www.myeclipseide.com/documentation/quickstarts/dbexplorer/

(This is so I can go on to the reporting Quick Start.)

I have just installed myEclipse 7 with the “All in one” option, picking up my existing workspace.

In the “DB Browser” window I’m seeing 2 links for “MyEclipse Derby”. When I right click on either one of them and select “open connection”, I get:

“This driver is invalid. Please check the driver configuration for missing libraries.”

If I do “New” and select “Derby” or “Derby IBM Universal Driver” I get a red cross and “Driver class not found”.

Should there be a pre-configured Derby driver and if so why am I not seeing it? Can I get it back somehow?

    Grateful for any clues.

It seems that these old configurations of Derby were trying to pick up a jar from the previous myEclipse installation. Have tried to set up a new Derby driver browsing for the equivalent jar, which I think must be:

    .. Genuitec/Common/plugins/com.genuitec.eclipse.derby_7.0.0.zmyeclipse70020081206.jar

But unfortunately still seeing the “Driver class not found” message in the pop-up.
