Hi, I’ve been contacting this forum in a few weeks and got no replies so far.

    My co-worker as well!

I am trying to hook this setup to an existing eclipse 3.5.2 or a Flash Builder 4 setup.

If there is no way, please let me know but I’d definitely would like to keep existing setup.

If it requires a fresh pulse setup, it’s okay, but I will have to do all the rework on the settings I already did.

    Thanks,

    Satwa S.

    Hello Satwa S.,

For installation questions, you’ll want to post in the MyEclipse IDE > Installation category. I’ll move this post in there. In the meantime, I can offer a couple suggestions from my experience integrating flex generation into MyEclipse for Spring 8.6 (currently in Milestone).

    – I haven’t been able to setup and existing Flash Builder or eclipse with MyEclipse. It’s usually the other way around, but pulse makes everything a lot easier.
    – For Flash Builder into MyEclipse, all you need to do is add the Flash builder drop-in link to the Profile dropins folder.
    – You should be able to copy a lot of your preferences/settings, by using the Export feature. Right-click an open space in the navigator > Export… > preferences.

    HTH,
    Dave

    Thank you Dave.

To Install Using Eclipse Update Site: be sure Eclipse 3.5.2 “Classic” is installed.
Start Eclipse > Select Help > Software Updates > Available Software Tab > Add Site > Enter this URL
    http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/galileo/enterprise-stable

From there you just “Next” your way through the wizard and MyEclipse will be installed for you. Let me know how this works for you.

    Best.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for posting in a wrong topic.

I have successfully migrated to a pulse profile after understanding better how pulse works.

I’ve managed to export the settings as indicated, it was really a wise decision as pulse helped me finding great plugins as well.

I wanted to setup myeclipse for spring, not sure if there is an update site for it. It seems that Joy pointed me to a myeclipse pro setup.

    Anyway I got my goal.

    Appreciate it a lot.

    Cheers

    Satwa S. RAO,

Good to hear you are all set. I am afraid currently there is no update site available to setup MyEclipse for Spring. Let me know if you need any other assistance.

    Best.
