vnicoliciParticipantI use a 3rd party JavaScript library that has a lot of TODO and FIXME tasks.
Those tasks needlessly pollute my task list.
How can I disable scanning for tasks in that directory?
Off-topic: having a big OK button on your profile that deletes your account is not such a good idea. I was very tempted to press it, luckily I noticed the text describing what the button does. Still, I think “OK” should be replaced with “Delete my account”.
support-pradeepMembervnicolici,
Regarding the OK button in the profile page, I have escalated it to the concerned department.
Regarding the tasks, You can disable the tasks from specific folders by following these steps :
1) Click on the ‘View Menu’ in the top right of the ‘Tasks’ view (small down arrow near the minimize and maximize buttons), then select ‘Configure Contents…’.
2) ‘Configure contents’ window opens up, select / check ‘TODOs’ under configurations
3) Select/check ‘On working set :’ under scope and then click on ‘Select’ button
4) Click on ‘New’ in the ‘select working set’ window and a pop up opens up. Select ‘Resource’ > click on Next > Give a Working set name > Select/check all the projects you are working > Expand the project by clicking on ‘+’ beside the project and uncheck the folders you want to hide the tasks > click Finish.
5) Select/Check the working set created and click ‘Ok’.
6) Finally click ok on ‘Configure contents’ window.Let us know how it works for you.
vnicoliciParticipantThanks, it worked.
But I think it would make much more sense to have this configured at the project level, like the resources excluded from validation (or even use the same exclusion list for both validation and tasks).
support-pradeepMembervnicolici,
Can you please follow these steps to exclude a folder from validation(which also includes tasks) in a project :
1) Right Click on the folder you want to exclude and click properties
2) Navigate to Resource > Resource Filters
3) Click ‘Add’
4) Select ‘Exclude All’ as the filter type. Select ‘Files and Folders’ and ‘All Children’ under Applies to, add an asterisk (*) to the File and Folder Attributes input field. (Please see the attached screenshot for a visual reference)
5) Click Ok, then Apply and finally click Ok.Configuring tasks is a eclipse feature. So, for more information or feature request on this, I suggest you cross post to eclipse forums for more support.
