MyEclipseUser1000MemberHi,
How do I uninstall Eclipse 8.5? It is not shown in add/remove programs, and C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\pulse-explorer.exe gives me the options to register, anonymous and login only. This is a fully registered product.
This is on windows xp.
Thank you
support-joyMemberMyEclipseUser1000,
Why do you want to uninstall ME 8.5?
How did you install ME 8.5?
1. If you have used all-in-one installer, look up under Start > Programs > MyEclipse > Un-install MyEclipse 8.5
2. If you have used pulse to install ME 8.5, then open pulse. Login to pulse. Select “MyEclipse 8.5” from “My Profiles”. Right click on the same and click on [Delete] or click on [X].
3. In case you have used archived update site on top of eclipse classic 3.5.2. You need to use the Help > Install new software wizard > Available Software Sites. Select MyEclipse 8.5 and click on [Remove]Hope this helps.
MyEclipseUser1000MemberHi Joy,
For some reason my install seems to be having some issues, and I am hoping that by removing 8.5 and doing a full clean re-install the problems go away.
1. I don’t see Uninstall option under Start->Program->MyEclipse. I see only MyEclipse option there.
2. I installed 8.0 from from corporate copy (*.exe installer), the installed 8.5 from your web site on top of 8.0 install. I did not use pulse to install the s/w.
3. Under MyEclipse-8.5 help, I don’t see option of “Install new sofware wizard”, I do see My software configuration center. The software tab under “MyEclipse configuration Center” does not seem to have uninstall option either.
Thank you,
MyEclipseUser
support-joyMemberHello MyEclipseUser,
If you are not able to see the un-installer option, you can do the following –
1. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
2.1. Delete Pulse directory. Pulse Install Directory, on XP it’s under C:\Program Files in \Pulse or \Genuitec, and on Vista it’s under <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as well. Typically for windows OS, it is located at c:\Documents and Settings\[username]\.pulse2.locator -
