Latest update… couldn’t install the driver straight off the nVidia web site as they didn’t recognize the 7950GTX card. However, the Sager support forks pointed me to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com – they have drivers that work with the 7950GTX card. Installed the latest video drivers and still have the same issue – initial display of the HTML Editor is blank, but can then be restored after minimizing a pane.

Guess the balls back in your court…

Yet another update… I just noticed that the Visual JSP Designer has the same issue.

But the Visual JSF Designer works correctly!

Grrr… I was hoping it was something easy. Ok then we need to do some debugging. As I mentioned we don’t have a Vista 64-bit install (but a 32-bit one we do) around here, so there is other gruntwork to get that setup going.

    Sorry for the delay.

    Riyad,

This will realy make your day… and confuse the issue as well! Just another peice of this HTML Designer puzzle for you to looking into… somehow I’m sure it’s all related, but I can’t figure out how!

In my project, I’ve created some external tools for starting and stopping my Tomcat server. Normally, when I select the Run | External Tools | External Tools… menu option it brings up a dialog that lets me edit the external tools that I have configured. The left hand pane is a list of my external tools.

Now comes the strange part (that I just noticed today)… after I open a HTML Designerer editor, and then go open the External Tools dialog – I can no longer see anything listed in the external tools list! And the only way to get that list to appear again is to restart Eclipse.

Not sure what bits the HTML Designer is tickling, but it’s being felt in places other than the editor…

Just thought you would like to know… 🙂

    Steve,
This is getting stranger and stranger. We are tracking this issue now, hopefully all these details will help narrow down what is going on.
