japherMemberI have been using myeclipse for nearly two years now, and have always encountered this annoying problem:
When deploying my web project to tomcat, the deployment appears to have been completed successfully. However, when I check the webapps folder, say /tomcat/webapps/myproject/ it only contains the WEB-INF folder (and everything else like jars, jsps, html, images is missing). Inside WEB-INF, I have a classes folder which contains a few of my classes and nothing more.
Since the deployment has actually only been half done, I then choose Redeploy. Again, the UI shows this has completed successfully, but when I actually check /tomcat/webapps/ I find that the /myproject/ dir has been deleted altogether and there is no trace of my deployed webapp! Another attempt to redeploy causes again only WEB-INF with a fraction of the expected classes deployed. After around 4 attempts to redeploy, the deployment will complete successfully.
I include the required info (from the posting guidelines) below. Although I’m sure you’ll recommend that I just upgrade to latest version etc, I must stress that I have encountered this problem with every version of my myeclipse I have used over the past two years (my eclipse 3.X – 4.X and eclipse 3.0, 3.01, 3.1)
This seems to be the same problem: –

japherMemberHopefully this should really help, I found this in my log file (the one in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\workspace\.metadata). It seems that each deployment has failed with a similar error, each time a different class causes the error.
