I am running MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench, Version: 7.0, Build id: 7.0-20081201 on Windows Vista 64 bit.
While trying to install/update Subclipse Myeclipse keeps asking me to register for Pulse ans when I do it gives me a failure, I believe that it may be having troubles with the server.
    How do I disable Pulse?
How do I install Subclise without using Pulse?

    Hi,
MyEclipse 7.0 is pulse based so you cannot disable pulse.

What are the errors that you are running into while setting up subclipse?

What are the steps you followed to setup the plugin?

How do I get the classic software updater configured? I got an answer from you guys a few months back and now it’s once again deferrng to Pulse, which takes forever to bring in the software catalog and update lots of stuff before I try unsuccessful search attempts to try to find what I need from the catalog – ARGHHH.

I already have a plug-in update site and want to feed it in directly with the classic updater tool. I know there’s a way of going into Window-?Preferences to get it back, because I did that once before from your previous instructions. I am trying to install a BPM developer plug-in (see http://docs.jboss.org/jbpm/v3/gpd/installation.html) and it’s instructions neatly have screen captures for the classic Eclise updater.

BTW – my latest attempt to use Pulse on my 7.5 ME version results in Pulse unable to update some stuff, gives an error window filled with errors that I can’t copy/paste from and promptly exits. C’mon, just give me back my classic updater – Puleeeze.

    lhale,

You can download the Eclipse classic installer from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ it is the last option. Notice it says – Eclipse Classic 3.5.0 (162 MB). You need to click on *Other Downloads*. This will redirect you to next page with Latest Releases. Download the appropriate 3.4.2 version.

Gonna take your advice and download Eclipse classic. The pulse installer is buggy/unusable.
