HI,
I downloaded and ran myeclipse-2022.1.0a-offline-installer-windows.exe on my Windows 10 64 bit system.
I already have MyEclipse 2020, so I chose the “Upgrade to 2022.1.0a” option.
I am getting errors like…

Sorry about the upgrade failure. We could replicate it at our end. The dev team is looking into it.
Please update to MyEclipse 2022 from within MyEclipse 2020 using the Help > Check for Updates dialog.

I’m afraid this is a known issue with the offline installer for 2022 and older versions of MyEclipse, due to the fact that we removed a number of components from the base installation of MyEclipse (they are still available for installation from within the product).

The offline installer cannot be used to upgrade to 2022.1. Your options are:
a) Take the update from within the product itself, by using the check for updates option
or
b) Uninstall your existing version of MyEclipse and use the latest installer to install a fresh copy. You can continue to point it to your existing workspace, of course.

After some searching, I have encountered this forum conversation.
May I respectfully suggest that Genuitec adds something to the download page that would save us from banging our collective heads against a brick wall by downloading and running installers which Genuitec knows will fail?
