JohnJake2MemberHello support.
I am not sure if it is the same like in this thread: http://www.genuitec.com/support-genuitec/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2940
I used the “Build iOS Application” process and everything went fine. The native App was build in that specific folder and I also received a notifiying email containing the short URL to the App in your cloud.
Using this link on an iPhone 4, I see the install dialog that comes up in Safari, I press “Install now” and it seems that the installation of the app (you can see the Icon including the install progress bar) is almost finished. Then there comes an error. The most correct translation is “<App> failed to install”. The concrete german text is: “<App> kann nicht installiert werden – Wiederholen – Abbrechen”.
The file is only 4,0 MB of size.Since this morning the short URL leads so Error: Not Found
The requested URL /design/GET_INSTALL_PAGE/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx was not found on this server.
Can you please fix this.
Thx,

The most common cause for this installation failure error is that the provision profile used to build the iOS app does not include the UUID of the device you are installing the app on. Can you confirm that the profile is an ad hoc profile and that it includes your device id?
JohnJake2MemberHi Support.
Hm. That is strange. After having read some more board threads according this, it seems clear that this cannot work since the UUID is not part of my configuration. Also I set the radio button to “AppStore” and not to “Ad hoc”, which seems not to be allowed.
Nevertheless, it worked for installation since I still had the installation on one test-iPhone. Reinstalling it from the same link (which ist the very link we used before and it is still in a an email that was sent to the device) is not working anymore and leads to the mentioned error. After that I discovered that in my configuration my provisional file, which I created lately, is no longer available. It is just gone. Rebuilding and Downloading it to reproduce the solution never worked again….
Strange, strange….

support-michaelKeymasterThanks for the follow up info. I believe our iOS Build doc discusses some of the provision profile requirements and discusses that only ad hoc built iOS apps may be installed directly over the air. If you build your iOS with an app store profile it can only be installed by downloading the app from the App Store.
Marking this thread Closed unless there is some additional discussion needed.
