Erling MoldeMemberI’m trying to install EGit, but it doesn’t work after 1.1 came out.
Pulse provides an error message as follows:An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=com.poweredbypulse.profile-7801-rmb-2617291, phase=com.genuitec.pulse2.client.common.download.PulseCollect, operand=, action=).

I’ve also tried creating a fresh profile in Pulse Explorer and installed that. No luck.I’ve also tried installing standard Eclipse SDK 3.6.2, adding the EGit update site, and installed EGit. This does work.
All attempts performed with the 64-bit versions of the platform on Windows 7.
I previously had EGit 1.0 installed with MyEclipse 9.1, but got errors when trying to upgrade it to 1.1.
I’m fresh out of ideas on how to get it working. Can you assist?

support-joyMemberinforedno,
I am able to replicate this issue. We are investigating this. I have escalated this issue to dev team members. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Robert LankeyMemberAlso very interested in this. Our shop is finally making the switch to Git and not having EGit (or other) compatibility in the IDE certainly takes it down a notch.
Brian FernandesModeratorSorry for the inconvenience caused; there was a metadata caching problem which is now resolved. If you restart MyEclipse / Pulse and simply re-attempt installation, it should now work.
Please let us know if you still experience issues.
Robert LankeyMemberAfter I saw the post on 10/4 I was able to install EGit correctly, but trying to install it now on a different machine, I’m getting the same error. Did the previous fix get reverted??
Matt BucknamParticipantI’m having the same error. Please help
Brian FernandesModeratorWe’ve re-fixed the problem. There have been some issues with Eclipse update sites which has lead to this condition. We’ve made some changes on our side to mitigate problems caused by these issues, even if they occur in the future.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
