ploskiklMemberI’ve been able to find documentation for internationalizing plug ins.
But my questions here pertain to the MyEclipseIDE plug in itself. Is it possible to obtain the MyEclipseIDE plug in (and/or user guide) in languages other than English? If so, which languages?
As for Eclipse itself, I notice that Eclipse.org provides “language packs” that contain “translations for German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Traditional Chinese and Simplied Chinese. The packs are available at:
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index.phpDo you happen to know whether by using one of these language packs, I could turn the vanilla download of Eclipse 2.1.x from English into German (for example)?
Assume the answer to the previous question is “yes”. Does MyEclipseIDE provide language packs of its own so that I could use the German version of MyEclipseIDE with the German version of Eclipse? If so, does the MyEclipseIDE language packs include translations of the MyEclipseIDE user guide (German, or …)?
Thank you!

Scott AndersonParticipantKaren,

Believe it or not, you’re the first person to ever ask us this question. Quite astounding now that our user community is well into the 10’s of thousands in 90 countries. Truthfully, I’ve been expecting this question for almost a year now. At present, I have to report that MyEclipse is available in the ‘American dialect of English’ only. Note, I would call it simply ‘English’ but we have a large user community in the UK that I’m sure would correct me if I did that. 😉

That is precisely what the Eclipse language packs are for, it just won’t affect any 3rd party plugins (of course).
