    Hello,
I’ve created an App for the radio station where i work. There is a problem, the app works fine but when the mobile phone goes in “stand by” (fading to black), the audio stops. I tried with new API Audio (2.9.1) but seems the same.
This is a huge problem ’cause the meaning of this app is listen the radio and at the moment, is impossible.

There is a way for run the player in background or block the phone in active mode?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi epelic,

At this time background activities are not supported in mobione apps on both ios and android platforms.

Thank you for your answer, so at the moment is pretty useless…
I’ll try in another way, thanks again.

Hi, I seen your message about preventing an App being “stalled” when the OS goes into sleep mode.
Did you manage to find a workaround?

I am also having the same issue…I want my app to continue to run in the background, whether in sleep mode or if the user decides to go to or run another app. I have searched around and the best thing I have found thus far is this….

Maybe you want to give it a try, my app is mainly for android and this seems to be a solution for IOS so I have not tried it, I would be interested to know if it does do the trick for you.

MobiOne uses the Cordova media api which does not play audio in the background by default.
