I am experiencing the same exact thing. For large JSP’s the “Update Outline” appears for every key stroke. I also verified that the “Analyize annotations while typing” checkbox is unchecked. 🙁 I noticed the problem when I came in this morning and I did a clean on my project. I was able to fix the problem by restarting my eclipse (not sure if leaving it up overnight could have anything to do with it; but so far the issue seems to have gone away). Fingers crossed. 🙂
