sgihpMemberJSP editor does “Update OutLine” for every key stroke. And the “Update Outline” is big resource eater and freezes IDE sometimes. “Update Outline” should be triggered by saving file.
Is there any way to turn this off?
Riyad KallaMemberThis shouldn’t be freezing the editor. You can turn this off by going to Window > Prefs > MyEclipse > Editors > Common Editor Prefs > “Analyze annotations while typing”, uncheck that.
Can you paste the result from MyEclipse > About > Configuration Details for me?
Anthony EstelitaMemberI am experiencing the same exact thing. For large JSP’s the “Update Outline” appears for every key stroke. I also verified that the “Analyize annotations while typing” checkbox is unchecked. 🙁 I noticed the problem when I came in this morning and I did a clean on my project. I was able to fix the problem by restarting my eclipse (not sure if leaving it up overnight could have anything to do with it; but so far the issue seems to have gone away). Fingers crossed. 🙂

Riyad KallaMemberUgg. Let us know if this is fixed in MyEclipse 5.0, we are doing a full editor refresh in that release.

Thank You. I think this editor has been the consistent (but improving) weak spot since about 3.8.
