From time to time it seems eclipse does something with the keyboard that prevents proper characters from outputting. I cannot determine if it a sequence of characters I type or not, but from time to time, characters like the double quote ” are replaced with È, the left and right brace <> are replaced with a single, and double quote respectively. Even when trying to copy the characters output to generate this message, CTRL+C (copy function) results in the output of the cent currency symbol ¢ instead of actually copying the selected text.

    zhaonameloc,
Can you give some more information regarding this?
    1. Can you copy paste your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details?
    2. Can you verify if “Encoding” under Windows > Preferences > General > Editors > Text Editors > Spelling is set to Default(Cp1252)?
    3. Does this happen with any editors in particular?
This could also be the result of your system settings
