tpsalvatoreMemberDear Support,
I’m very disappointed about latest troubles subversive is giving to me.Three days ago I made subversive updates from the configuration center and it just stop working. Now everytime I start myEclipse it says it has to download the svn connectors, but going on it says a newer version is installed. So everything has to work, but nothing. From the preferences page in the team settings I can’t see or choose any svn connector (the dropdown combo is disabled and empty).
I tried a fresh install from pulse: same behaviour.
I tried a fresh install with all in one installer: same behaviour. My environment is ubuntu 10.04 x86_64
Please help me solve this, since I cannot work without a repository.
Kind Regards,
Salvatore Ciaramella
atzeParticipantI have the same Problem.
I use windows 7 x64 and since the last update svn doesn’t work.
Every time I start MyEclipse, it wants to install 6 different svn-connectors … I have tied all combinations, I reinstalled a complete new myeclipse, the same problem …I’m very disappointed, I cat’t work without svn support!
Please help!
Thanx Martin
GParaskevinMemberI am getting the same behavior with Windows XP 32-Bit. I have also tried all the combinations of connectors and nothing seems to be working. As above, a fresh install had no effect on problem.
I’m stuck without our repository, any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Garrick
support-shaliniMemberSalvatore, Martin, Garrick,
I could replicate this at my end. I shall escalate this to the dev team member. They will get back to you on this.
atzeParticipantI have uninstalled all svn clients and after the restart I installed only the subclips 1.6.x from the quick add tab.
After this I have connect to to the svn server in the “SVN Repository”- View and share my project under the team-context menu, after this I can synchronize and it works!
GParaskevinMemberThe method using Subclipse 1.6 above didn’t work for me, I guess I’ll keep checking this thread.
tpsalvatoreMemberDoesn’t work for me too. I’ll prefer to wait for a solution with subversive…hope soon
Paul HillMemberI’m having exactly the same problem. MyEclipse 8.6, Win XP. Anyone found a good workaround? It was working just fine until I did an update in Pulse and now I’m stuck in the infinite loop, restart, install connectors, can’t install connectors because of more recent versions, repeat.
tpsalvatoreMemberHey support,
no good news for us? please, can you give us some date when it will be fixed or at least some news on the topic?
(Sorry for the hurry, but this is causing a lot of troubles to our developers)
Regards.
Brian FernandesModeratorUpdate: This issue has now been fixed, please see the last post in this thread for a resolution.
We are working on a resolution for this issue right now. For the moment, please take the following steps to work around this issue.
1) Go to Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center and open the Dashboard tab
2) In the “Quick-Add Populare Plug-ins” please deselect “Subversive Plug-in”. This will show you a number of changes depending on the number of additional subversive related plugins installed.
3) Apply this change and restart MyEclipse when prompted
4) Go to the Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center and expand the “Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) Discovery” item under Public Sites
5) Expand Collaboration and locate the “Subversive SVN Team Provider (Incubation)” item.
6) Right click this item and choose “Add”.
7) Apply this change and restart MyEclipse when prompted.
8) When you open the “SVN Repositories” view, you will be asked to install additional connectors, scroll to the bottom of this list and select JavaHL 1.6.3. Finish this installation wizard and restart when prompted.Subversive should now work fine for you, let us know if you need further assistance.
We are currently working on a solution which does not require this workaround and will add a note here when that becomes available. Sincerely regret the inconvenience caused.

Hi. I did a clean reinstall and made sure subversive under quick-add populat plug-ins was deselected.
I got a message that there were managed updates to install. I clicked ok/install and it happened again when it restarted.
I clicked ok/install and the next time it happened again, however when I went to the software tab I got a messagebox saying:
‘multiple problems have occurred (title)
java.lang.nullpointerexception (body top)
an error has occured. See error log fior more details (4 times in message body).
In the error log it said “Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: “org.eclipse.jface”.thanks for any assistance.
tpsalvatoreMemberSorry,
I tried your solution, but this doesn’t work for me. I also tried to follow your steps again and change the connector to SVN kit, but still no luck. Please can you help me?
Regards,
Salvatore

Just a followup – something is definitely a little sick … I reinstalled twice 8.6. I finally got the subversion to install/work .. the trick was I had to go into the dashboard and add it then after restart take it out and then restart and add it again. Unfortunately I get a message everytime I restart myecilpse that there are 7 pending updates that have largely to do with subclipse and I’m mildly terrified of installing these managed components because I need to do some work.

Brian FernandesModeratorSalvatore,
Can you please explain what problem you face after trying my steps? At what point do you face difficulties / see errors? Also, how did you install MyEclipse and what is the state of the installation before you tried these steps?
Jeff,
Exactly how are you doing a clean re-install? if you have a completely clean 8.6 installation, you may see just one update for MyEclipse, no more. The fact that you also so updates for Subclipse indicate that your profile does have Subclipse installed as well, which is something you may have added in a previous attempt. Needless to say, both Subversive and Subclipse in the same installation is very likely to cause problems.
tpsalvatoreMemberDear Support,
I just followed the steps you suggested to me. Everything seemed t work fine. Subversive was installed with javaHL support and I can see javaHL connector inside team->connectors. Nevertheless, notthing works, I keep getting error messagees and no svn support.
Then I tried to follow your steps again, but choosing SVN kit connector instead of javaHL connector. This time I can’t see the connector (team->connector is blank), and nothing works. If you need more specific info, ask me everything you want. I’d like to cooperate as much as possible in order to see this fixed quickly.
Regards,
