thanks again. the bug isn’t that bad, i can live with it (startup, shutdown, startup). but what would really be nice is to show deployments where the webapp dir was deleted manually. and allow the user to redeploy.

As another alternative, have you thought about using a CVS server and putting your code under version control and then just syncing your workspace wherever you are? That’s what we do and it enables us to work at the office, home, clients sites, whatever. No problems at all.

What you’re trying to do should still work, but I offer the above because just the idea of carting around complete workspaces makes me tired. 🙂

yeah, that is a thought. i used to have a slow modem connection at home, so any network access was just a nightmare (escpecially trying to sync with a cvs server at work). so i just got used to zipping my code and taking it with me (first on a zip disk and now on my USB thingy). but i recently upgraded to cable modem, so i may give your suggestion a try. thanks scott.

Hi, i’m having the same problem that’s reported in this thread, that is my tomcat deployments of webapps some times disappear(not always). I use the same machine(laptop) at work and home. I’m using eclipse 2.1.3, myeclipse 2.7.1, jdk 1.4.2 and tomcat 5.0.19. Is this bug(?) fixed? Thanks,
