Hi,

I am trying to install latest install on my Mac Book Pro and I am getting this error. Can you please help me find a solution.

This profile can not be resolved because required software could not be located.

Sorry to hear you hare running into this issue. Can you copy and paste your installation details. It is located under MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail. How did you install MyEclipse? meaning – using the All-in-one installer/ Added MyEclipse plugin to Eclipse/using pulse added MyEclipse. And what is the version of MyEclipse you are using?

I have downloaded All in one(latest) couple of days back. it is 7.1
I cannot find the installation details… I only have these files in the myeclipse-7.1.0-macosx directory

I have couple of questions for you –
1. Can you clarify, if you have installed MyEclipse7.1 on your Mac? If yes, then installation details can be found from menu item – click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > [Installation Detail]. Also can you list the installed software. You can get it from Help > Software Updates > Add/Remove Software.
2. If you are getting the above error during install, then can you copy and paste the contents of your config file? Make sure the file size and md5sum of the downloaded all-in-one installer file is the same as that mentioned in the site. Take your computer offline and try to install MyEclipse.
3. Of if you were trying to add a plugin and you got the above error, I would recommend you to remove that plugin and recheck. Can you list the contents of your plugin folder here?

Can you mention what are the exact steps that resulted in the above errors? Do provide as much detail as possible.

I am getting this error during the installation. I am trying to install All-in-one

I unzipped the All-in-one tar file which I downloaded then I see these files below. I double click on myeclipse-71-installer.app and at this point I get the message pasted above.

yes I have checked the md5 infact I have downloaded 2 times just to make sure.
I have tried installing ofline as you suggested and I still get the same error.

Where will be the config file ?

Hey Dheeraj,

For a workaround, you can install MyEclipse using pulse. Pulse automatically resolves any dependencies that you may be having. You can download pulse from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.

Hello Dheeraj,

Do you have a Pulse account and are logging during the installation process?

Or have you previously using MyEclipse tried to install Subversion support?

If either of the questions are a yes, could you rename your installation directory and try the installation again?

You should not be seeing the error trying to find subversive plugins for your installation as MyEclipse 7.1 installers don’t include these plugins, so give that a try.
