When opening an XSD schema file the properties view pops up. During the open it seems to show something sensible but once the open is complete it displays: “Properties are not i” – only the final char is italicised or not Latin.

This doesn’t happen with XML files.

It’s a bit irritating as you just have to collapse the view again.

The Usual: Win XP Pro SP2/JDK 1.5.0_u3/Eclipse 3.1/4.0M2 for 3.1
    Nothing in the log

I was able to reproduce this and will look into it.

It seems the message that is getting truncated is simply that there are no properties to be shown for the current entity because there is no properties to show from the Source view. If you switch to the Graph view you should be able to see properties again. Seems like an issue of poorly presenting a valid information message on our part, sorry for this.

I’m not too bothered by the content – I guessed that’s what it was saying. More irritating is the fact that the properties view gets automatically de-minimised – if I want the props view I’ll pull it up explicitly; if I’ve minimised it I want it to stay that way. In some circumstances auto de-minimise is appropriate – the search view on searching being the obvious example.

    All the Best
