Previous versions of MyEclipse, the Redeploy action under Deployments would force a reload of the application. Now with 2013, if using an exploded deployment, nothing happens. This is a big problem because 1) not all code changes are not hot swappable and we need a way to restart the app (you get that popup message) and 2) we are using spring and some changes need to reload the app to reload the application context.

There is nothing in the error log. I am using the Tomcat 6.x connector.

I could replicate the issue at my end. I have raised a PR for the dev team to look into it.
As a workaround, please try the packaged deployment instead of restarting the server.

We will include a fix for this issue in the upcoming 2013 SR1 release due in a few weeks; thank you for bringing this to our attention. Are there any other problems that you are experiencing with the 2013 release?

This is just to confirm that the SR1 release is now available, in case you hadn’t noticed. The installers may be downloaded from the usual place or MyEclipse can be updated in the product. Update sites should be available by the end of this week.
