i4073ParticipantIn the past, we used MyEclipse Workbench as Eclipse plugin. I can’t find any instruction on how to do this with MyEclispe 2015. Even the this Eclipse Market page is so out of date and broken.
How do I install MyEclipse 2015 as plugin?
Thanks.
support-tonyKeymasteri4073,
Please let us know the problems you see when installing from eclipse Marketplace. You should install into eclipse 4.4.2, as that is what the MyEclipse workbench, in the marketplace is based on.
Of course, it can also be installed with a standalone installer, downloaded from our website. No need for a prior eclipse install.
i4073ParticipantHaven’t tried because it doesn’t look like the latest MyEclipse.
What I meant by out of date and broken is the Market page page itself. The description says “2014 release series”, not 2015. The News link goes to a forum post about ME2013. Also there are a lot of broken icons on the feature section. The page looks like it has been abandoned.
Is the latest version on marketplace? If not, is there plan to add it?
support-tonyKeymasteri4073,
Yes, the description needs improvement but it does mention Luna (which ME 2015 is based on). Accessing the Marketplace through eclipse, the title shows “2015”. If you try to install from the Marketplace, you’ll see that it will install release 2015 Stable 2.0 (which is the same as 2015 CI 13). The install may not be as straight forward as simpler plug-ins because some base plugins need to be updated. If the install shows problems, wait for the installer to come up with alternative solutions and accept the alternative (which will include upgrading some plug-ins as well as installing MyEclipse 2015). I just tried it and it installs fine.
Let us know if you see issues.
