Aysenur ÖzboyacıMemberHi,
I have myeclipse 6.0.1 current. I wanted to upgrade to 7.0 and downloaded myeclipse-7.0-win32.exe (full stack exe). When I run the exe, it does the preparing process then gives me an error that says : “An unexpected failure occured inializing the installer. java.lang.NullPointerException”
Will you please help me?
Loyal WaterMemberaozboyaci,
Sounds like the installation file is corrupted. Can you please confirm that size of the file you downloaded matches the size mentioned on the download page.
Aysenur ÖzboyacıMemberYes I have done this. They are same???
GregMemberThere is also a md5sum listed on the website that you can use to make sure the download was not corrupted. Also, can you check to see if there is anything under C:\Program Files\Genuitec that perhaps made some log files? If there was a Pulse Explorer folder we could grab some additional log files to try to diagnosis what is going on .
Aysenur ÖzboyacıMemberI do not have that folder C:\Program Files\Genuitec. And how do I use md5? where do I need to compare?
GregMemberI would grab a md5sum program like this one:
http://www.md5summer.org/Then just run the md5sum on the myeclipse-7.0-win32.exe and make sure that it matches this value:
b91a14c04f922d1bde643a6c3ae8be82
Aysenur ÖzboyacıMemberI have calculated the md5 and the results are same..
GregMemberCould you post the entire error/stacktrace if possible? Or a screenshot?
Aysenur ÖzboyacıMemberDid you get my screenshots?
GregMemberI did get them. I will forward them on to the development team to try to get an idea of what could be happening.

ziyamisParticipantHi,
I have exactly the same problem, described above. Installation stars, all of the exe file extracted, and then it gives null pointer exception..
ziyamisParticipantHi, I noticed that all of the user posted in this subject are Turkish users. Can it be because of regional settings?
Loyal WaterMemberCan you try setting up MyEclipse using this link:-
http://www.poweredbypulse.com/getit.php?dl=myeclipse-7.0-pulse-win32.exeIt does the same thing the All in One does but it downloads everything instead of unzipping it.
Hope this helps.
David TsangMemberWhen I run the installation either directly or having saved it first, the error is “… is not a valid Win32 Application”
