Even I am facing the perm generation issue on 8, what I observed mainly is when I ever I try to save a file perm is getting increased.

I tried all options, waiting for support to help on this.

I had planned to reinstall, after looking at this thread I think I will not try this option

MyEclipse is driving me nuts, After I have done an update of myeclipse for spring, I restarted myEclipse, run into an error message and was not able to launch te programm. I had to re-install everything. after a complete new installation, I received the next error messages ‘Buidling workspace’ has encountered a problem – Errors occured during the build (Details Errors occurred during the build.
Errors running builder ‘JavaScript Validator’ on project ‘ESAC_WebPPS’.
java.lang.NullPointerException
Before everything was working fine.
I don’t have the time to reinstall myeclipse each time I ran into an error. I even don’t have the time to recreate a new workspace. TO SOLVE THESE ISSUES I LOSE TIME AND MONNEY. I pay for myeclipse for about 4 years, but this is the last time. even the perm gem issues should be solved for once and for all.
